Network’s National Volunteers Summit 2006
The Office of Pahinungód and Continuing Education (OPCE)
is a proud member of the VOICE Network. We would like to encourage
you to become part of its 2nd National Volunteers Summit
to be held on March 31, 2006, at the Mirriam
College, Quezon City as Pahinungód volunteers.
For
more details, please take time to read the following invitation
from the VOICE Network. The event will include conferences, talk
about volunteerism, simultaneous workshops, volunteer sharing
session, socials, museum tour and a lot more to enjoy and learn
new things. If you find it difficult to decide on this matter,

If
you decided to join, please register first at the Pahinungód
office for us to know how many of you are interested so we can
avail of a group or early registrants discount. We will also arrange
our transportation to the Summit venue as a group.

Greetings!
The Volunteer Organizations Information Coordination and Exchange
or VOICE Network is pleased to invite your organization to take
part in the Second National Volunteers Summit to be held on March
31 to April 2, 2006 at Miriam College in Quezon City.
VOICE is a national network that has convened various sectors
of society for volunteers’ continuing education, capability-building,
advocacy and networking. In the recent years, VOICE Network has
endeavored to sustain volunteer service by linking volunteer organizations
for information and resources exchange.
The First National Volunteers Summit was held in April 2005 in
Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro City. With over 200 delegates
from different volunteer organizations nationwide, it was a fruitful
exchange of ideas, thoughts, and encouragement. The success of
the first NVS led to the commitment of VOICE to make this as its
major event. To date, there has never been a gathering of volunteers
this big ever organized in the Philippines.
Themed “Embracing the Filipino Culture of Volunteerism”
the Second National Volunteers Summit aims to explore the contributions
of culture to the development of volunteers and volunteerism and
raise the value of understanding culture in the promotion of volunteerism.
The highlights of the event include: conferences, volunteer development/reflection
sessions, volunteer recognition, volunteering promotion, community
building, museum tour and trade fair.
We invite you to join us in this rare opportunity to link with
our network. In sharing with our vision and mission of valuing
volunteers, you become an integral part in shaping the progress
of our nation.
